Vulka Fire Equipment was founded on the principal that you cannot train enough for a job that can kill you.

Our founder, Josh, is a 17 year fire service veteran, and a registered professional engineer. He has experience on the career and volunteer side of the fire service, serving in various departments in the Baltimore, MD and Washington D.C. areas. Josh has served in every position from probationer to lieutenant, including as a training officer. Combining fire service experience, engineering background, and training mindset, he founded Vulka in 2023 with a vision for better and more functional training equipment.

The name "Vulka" is a modern tribute to the ancient Roman god of fire and the forge - Vulcan. There couldn't be a more fitting name for a company whose mission it is to forge better fireman through more innovative training and products.
